Everest – Cho Oyu Base Camp and Renjo pass. Trekking to the little visited base camp of the mighty Cho Oyu via Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri with a return trek via Renjo La pass in Sagamartha National Park.

A spectacular Classic Everest trek. At 8201 meters, Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world. It is located on the border of Tibet (China) and Nepal about 20 km to the west of Mount Everest. Cho Oyu is translated in Tibetan as the Turquoise goddess; Just west of Cho Oyu, at about the location of Advanced Base Camp, is the Nangpa La, a 18,000 foot glacier pass, which used to be a major trade route between the Khumbu Sherpas and Tibet. Walking up the long valley towards Goyko and its beautiful lakes is one of the most outstanding treks in the Khumbu. You will pass yak pastures, gigantic glaciers, and the most magical and enchanting scenery. Once at Goyko (4700m), we hike up Goyko Ri (5357m/19,216ft) rising next to the lake . Stunning views of The Everest Range – Cho Oyu, Everest, Makalu and Lhotse. We return to Namche Bazar by the high Himalayn pass of Renjo La (5,388m). An amazing high and icy Himalayan forrnight!
